WARNING! SPOILERS BELOW! If you don't want to know what happens in the 6th season, go back.

All of these spoilers were taken from different sources. I have divided each one by color to make them easier to read. *Spoilers do not necessarily go by date! They go by the order I have added them. I have collected as many as I could, plausible or implausible. After each one has been replaced by a newer, better, or updated version, I may delete the old. (or if the episode has aired.)I tried to put the spoilers by episode, some I just rewrote in my own words, I wanted to make it as easy to understand as possible. Many of the authors' comments have been taken out. Episodes go by assumed production order, but rumors go from newest to oldest. Please let me know if you have trouble understanding the way I did it. Some rumors are sort of the same. Note I have redone this spoiler page and have taken off old rumors. Most of them were for things that have now past. If they were important I left them on.

Writing an explanation of this episode is very confusing because of the body swap. After the change, I will label each character as who they actually are (MULDER looks like MORRIS; MORRIS looks like MULDER). It’s not too hard if you follow it carefully.

Dreamland (Part 1 of 2)

The Episode starts out with a recap of what happened.

TEASER
The first scene starts by showing a file. It is opened up and shown that it is Fox Mulder’s file. In a voice over we hear Morris Fletcher (who looks like Mulder) who tells of Mulder’s life as we see clips of a young Mulder and Samantha, as well as their mother Teena. Morris tells how Samantha just ‘disappeared’ and that he thinks Mulder went crazy. Mulder through himself into his work, but Morris thinks he threw his career and life away, always muttering about conspiracy, but that it’s all going to change.

Mulder is being taken away, screaming to Scully "HE’S NOT ME!" meaning that Morris isn’t really Mulder as he appears to be.

Morris (who everyone thinks looks like Mulder) tells Scully that he’s sorry he narked on her to Kersh, but that he thought she would lose her job if he didn’t. She tells him that he did the right thing, she had been telling him he should go more by the book. He says to her, "Hey, it’s the new me."

After Scully leaves, Morris says:

MORRIS:
I think she likes me, Tiger. (referring to Tiger Woods.)

Mulder is taken into a prison where he is left with his leg irons on. In the cell next to him, is a woman, Lana Chee, who is actually Robert McDonough, who switched bodies with her during the ‘wave.’ McDonough tells Mulder that he’s not leaving, that they’ve ‘disappeared.’ Mulder mistakenly calls her ma’am and he gets really mad.

MCDONOUGH:
Ma'am? Kiss my ass, you desk monkey!

FBI HEADQUARTERS
WASHINGTON D.C.

At the bureau, Morris (who everyone thinks looks like Mulder) is playing golf on his computer when Scully walks in and starts packing her thinks into a box. He asks her what Kersh said. Scully tells him that he said she was insubordinate not a team player and that the FBI doesn't need agents who aren’t team players. She has been suspended from the bureau for two weeks without pay. Morris asks her if it would make her feel better if she came over to his apartment and he cooked for her. Surprised, Scully agrees, and he tells her to be there by eight.

The next morning, McDonough keeps on talking about his past even though Mulder tries to get him to leave him alone. Finally Mulder screams at him getting his point across, and McDonough yells back.

MCDONOUGH:
Hey Grandma Top Gun! Shut---the hell---up!
MCDONOUGH
shoves his cigarette through a space between their cells.
MCDONOUGH:
You're my bitch, pencil-neck.

The Men in Black come to Mulder’s cell and tell him that Wegman wants to see him and proceed to take him to the general.

In Wegman’s office is the Flight Data Recorder (FDR). Jeff is there, and asks Mulder why he didn’t tell them what was going on. Mulder has no idea what he’s talking about. Jeff tells him that the FDR is the wrong one, that he gave a fake to the FBI. Wegman tells Mulder that the recorder had been replaced by Mulder (who is really Morris). They think that Morris was tricking the FBI and not telling them about it. Mulder says that he didn’t know if he could trust them, they had had a leak, and also that he had to contact Scully alone to see if he could find out who the contact was, however Agent Mulder was in the way. When asked why he didn’t tell them after, he says that he didn’t think they would believe him, and that they needed to figure it out for themselves. Howard as him is the FDR is safe, and Mulder tells him that it is and that he will get it back. Wegman reprimands the other men because they jumped to conclusions.

At Mulder’s apartment, Morris comes in carrying bags of groceries. After putting them down, he walks around the apartment thinking there’s no bedroom, until he finds a door. He tries to open it, but it’s stuck. Finally it swings open and a lot of boxes, files, pornography magazines, and more come tumbling out.

MORRIS:
This guy hasn't been laid in ten years!

FLETCHER RESIDENCE
RACHEL NEVADA

At Fletcher’s house, Mulder sees Chris walking out and tells her that he likes her nose ring, and she replies, "As if!" Next, Terrance comes out and tells Mulder that Joanne is going to put a restraining order on him. Mulder goes into the house and talks to Morris’s wife, Joanne. Joanne screams at Mulder telling him to go back with his tramp Scully. Mulder replies that she’s ‘Special Agent Dana Scully,’ and she replies that it’s ‘Special Tramp Dana Scully.’ Mulder tells her that Scully is his partner, and that he’s not Morris, he’s Mulder. He shows her a car outside that he had noticed was surveilling him. She doesn’t believe him, and tells him that he has to accept who he is.

Scully comes into Mulder’s apartment and Morris takes her coat off for her. Scully is surprised, the apartment is clean. He tells her that he decided to stop living like a frat boy, and proceeds to show her the rest of the apartment.

Morris and Scully enter the bedroom, which Scully comments she never knew he had. In the room is a large water bed which he pats and tries to get her to go on. Embarrassed, Scully says, "Ah, no, that’s OK, no thanks." Finally after some persuading she does. It’s a waterbed! Morris jumps on with her and they are both laying down. They look up above where there is a giant mirror that shows them laying there (of course now it looks like Mulder for a second). He asks her if she hates it, and she tells him she doesn’t. He tells her that he’ll be right back, not to go anywhere. He walks out, gets the champagne, and goes back in, singing, and closes the bedroom door.

In the bedroom, Morris and Scully are drinking. Suddenly Scully says:

SCULLY:
You know what would really be fun?

Scully then proceeds to pull out a pair of handcuffs. Morris thinks it’s a great idea but nervously asks if he's first. She insists that he does, so he handcuffs himself to the bed, saying he’s never done this before.

When Morris turns back around Scully has a gun pointed at him. She says to him that he’s not Mulder.

MORRIS:
Baby?
SCULLY:
You baby me and you’ll be peeing through a catheter.

Scully once again tells him that he’s not Mulder, that he’s Morris Fletcher. Morris doesn’t deny it, but tells Scully that he doesn’t know how to fix it, and wouldn’t even if he could, that he doesn’t like being a man in black or being with his wife.

The phone rings and the answering machine goes on which has a rather interesting message about him being busy entertaining a special guest. It’s the contact who says that he’s been calling Mulder to give him the information. Scully makes him pick up the phone, and the contact tells him that he will meet him at the Little A’Le Inn. He will be wearing a blue Buffalo Bills cap.

FLETCHER RESIDENCE
4:47 P.M.

Back at the Fletcher house, Mulder tells Joanne that they should get out of there to a place with a lot of people. They end up going to the Little A’Le Inn.

In the parking lot of the Little A’Le Inn, Scully and Morris are sitting in the car. Morris asks if they can’t just start over and do the thing with the handcuffs. Scully stays in the car while Morris goes inside. Morris finally spots the person in the blue cap in a booth. It’s General Wegman!

Mulder and Joanne have been drinking. Mulder suddenly sees the men in black so he leaves to go to the bathroom.

Wegman admits that he sabotaged the UFO and that he is the leak. Wegman tells Mulder to look under the table by his feet. It’s the FDR in a brown paper bag. (I’m not sure if this is the real or fake, I’m assuming real. Scully has the FDR later, so either it was the real one, or Morris had it all along and gave it to her which wouldn’t make a lot of sense in my opinion.)

Mulder sneaks out and sees Scully in the car. He goes over to talk to her. Joanne sees them together. Scully tells Mulder that she’s trying to help him.

Jeff is inside the roadhouse too. He starts talking to Mulder until Joanne comes up to Mulder and throws the white wine in his face. Jeff tells Mulder he’ll try to talk to her. Mulder goes back into the bathroom to clean his shirt, when he looks up into the mirror and sees himself behind him.

MULDER:
So, you're the guy that wants my life. I assume that includes all the ass kickings.

Mulder slams Morris against the wall. Morris shows Mulder he has the FDR.

Wegman walks into the bathroom. Mulder and Morris peek over the door of a stall.

MULDER:
Hey.
WEGMAN:
Hey.

Wegman walks out of the bathroom to be confronted by the Men in Black. He takes them outside. Mulder is seen, and Wegman orders the men to detain him. Mulder is carrying a brown paper bag. Jeff asks Mulder what’s in it, and he tells him beer. When he opens it, sure enough, it’s beer. Meanwhile, Scully’s car pulls away. Obviously Mulder, Wegman, and Morris had all been in on it.

Morris and Scully go to the Lone Gunmen’s office. Morris looks around at all the stuff as well as an issue of their newspaper, and laughs. (NOTE: The newspaper clearly reads "The Lone Gunmen," so it’s not the "Magic Bullet" as sometimes has been said.) Scully explains that it’s not Mulder. Morris tells them why it’s so funny. They make up this stuff and they (meaning LGM and others) keep on believing it, and publishing it. On the cover is a picture of Saddam Hussein. He tells them that he doesn’t exist, that he made him up, that the man’s name is actually John Gillnitz (I love that injoke!). He says that he dreams up a lot of things. Frohike asks him what , and he tells him that it’s classified and calls Frohike by his first name, Melvin.

FROHIKE:
It’s Frohike, you punk ass!

The Lone Gunmen run tests on the FDR.

Mulder walks into Wegman’s office. Wegman tells him that they shouldn’t be seen together. Mulder asks what happened. Wegman doesn’t know what to call Mulder, Mulder or Morris. He tells Mulder how he sabotaged the craft. He had lived his life covering up the truth. He sabotaged it so Mulder would see it, so he would know the truth. Mulder asks him what the truth is, and he says, "You don’t know?" Wegman has no idea either, and asks Mulder if there are aliens. He tells Mulder that they don’t know what is going on.

WEGMAN:
We just fly these birds---they don't tell us what makes 'em go. They engineer 'em all up in Utah.

Mulder tells him that Scully is checking out the FDR. Wegman tells Mulder that it’s too late, that he (Mulder) will arrest him (Wegman) and that they will make him disappear.

Back in the Lone Gunmen office, the Lone Gunmen have figured out what it is, there are readings of Tachyon flux and Gravitational displacement.

OUTSIDE AREA 51
9:28 P.M.

Two boys and one girl come upon the ‘black mailbox,’ which the one boy is raving about. His friends don’t care, they are too busy making out. Suddenly there is a ripple affect that goes through the one boy. He’s telling them how cool it was, but when he turns around, they have ‘melted’ together.

Mulder is waiting at the gas station when Scully and Morris show up. Scully tells him what she knows, but that it works randomly. If they went back to have the same thing happen again, and if they were off at all…Mulder finishes for her that his head could be in a rock. She replied "Something like that."

Scully tells Mulder that she is just tagging along with Morris, that she has been relieved of her duties as an FBI agent (meaning for good). Mulder can’t believe it, and says that she could explain everything using the FDR. They both look like they are going to cry.

SCULLY:
I'd kiss you if you weren't so damn ugly.

Morris yells to the two of them from the car wanting them to hurry up.

MULDER:
If I shoot him, is that murder or suicide?
SCULLY:
Neither if I do it first.

Scully drives off with Morris.

The boy that had just seen the ‘wave’ runs in front of an oncoming car, yelling for help. The man rolls down the window, it’s Howard Grodin, the Man in Black.

The kid leads Grodin to the spot where it occurred and tells him what happened. When they get there, the boy and girl have been returned to normal. He tells Grodin it did happen. Grodin believes him.

Scully and Morris are driving until Scully sees something and yells at him to stop and go back. It’s the gas station from Dreamland II, and it looks completely normal again. She talks to the worker who had been melted on the floor, and shot to death. She tells him the place had been destroyed, but he just tells her that he would have remembered that.

The Men in Black take McDonough out of the cell.

At Morris’s house, Mulder is putting Morris’s stuff into a moving van when Scully and Morris drive up. Scully gets out of the car and Joanne screams things at Scully, calling her a home wrecker.

Morris goes over to Joanne and helps her with the recliner she’s trying to pull through the door. He tells her that Mulder is right, that he is her husband. She doesn’t believe him until he starts saying things that happened to them before.

Before they get to talk much, Mulder and Scully come over to them. They all get ready to go back when the Men in Black pull up, finding the FDR in their car, and make them go with them.

Once they are back in Area 51, Grodin explains that they got Chee and McDonough back to normal, and that it’s Mulder and Morris’s turn. Mulder has figured out that the wave is causing a rubber band effect, and that it’s snapping back, reversing time. Mulder tells Morris that they won’t remember what happened. Morris says that in that case…and slaps Scully on the butt again. Mulder is surprised as well as Scully.

The ‘wave’ comes through the air again, and suddenly Mulder is standing with Scully again. Mulder and Morris are both back in their own clothes again. Everything looks like it had in the past episode before the spaceship came. Scully and Mulder, back to normal, drive away.

Back at the office, Scully finds the eleven cents in her desk that had been fused together. She calls Mulder, who is walking to his apartment, and tells him that Kersh doesn’t know where they have been. Mulder tells her that he knows it isn’t normally her thing, but he thanks her for going with him. She is happy. Mulder goes into his apartment and comes back out looking out the door with a weird look on his face to see if anyone’s out there, probably surprised about his apartment. No one is out there, so he goes back in.

Based on the Redux II scale (1-10, as Redux II being a 10 [now with Triangle being an 11, above the scale])
Overall Rating : 8.5
Shippy Rating: 7 (This is assuming that Scully believes Morris is Mulder even if he isn't)
