First, my opinion. All I can say is WOW!!! I absolutely LOVED this episode. Chris Carter has done it again. I thought the shots were wonderfully done. There were a lot of cool quotes, and it was definitely shippy! As a mention to spoilers, there were a few that didn’t happen so I’ll warn you ahead of time.
1. AltScully (I will use this for Alternate Scully) did not sing
2. Mulder and AltScully did not dance

*NOTE*: I will separate the parts in the past and the parts in the present into colors so it's easier to read. (white is both or switching scenes)

TEASER
SARGASSO SEA
64’ WEST BY SOUTHWEST

A camera pans underwater, showing pieces of broken wood. A man is floating belly down in the water. The camera pans to his face. It’s Mulder.

*Tagline change to: DIE WAHRHEIT IST IRGENDWO DA DRAUßEN*

ACT ONE
Mulder is pulled aboard the Queen Ann. They think he is a spy. Mulder thinks he knows what has happened, that the ship got stuck in the Bermuda Triangle in a time warp, and that it is actually still November of 1998 instead of September of 1939. This is not the case. Even though both are lost in the Bermuda Triangle (Devil’s Triangle), it appears Mulder is in the time warp because it is 1939.

Mulder tries to let them know that he is not German, showing them his badge, but they have never heard of the FBI! He proceeds to tell everyone things about their future (his past) that are going to happen. They don’t believe him though and lock him up in a room.

While stuck in the room, Mulder tries to send a message on the radio, when suddenly someone (a Nazi) bursts into the room. Mulder and the unknown man fight until Mulder finally wins. The camera pans down to show that the man looks like Jeffery Spender.

Mulder takes AltSpender’s clothes and runs out of the room. He keeps evading them until he finally comes to the ballroom. On stage "Jeepers Creepers" is playing, sung by Kersh’s secretary. Mulder sees the alternate Scully and thinks it is the real Scully. He starts rambling and touches her arm when she screams at him calling him a Nazi. He tells her he had to steal the clothes. Obviously she has no idea who he is, but before he can pursue it any further, the Nazis aboard the ship take him away.

Aboard the ship is the alternate Cigarette-Smoking Man (AltCSM). A man shoots the captain steering the ship who won’t move away from the wheel. AltCSM starts talking to Mulder in German and doesn’t understand Mulder doesn’t speak German. Someone relays it to him, and then they take Mulder away again. Mulder starts yelling to ‘Skinner,’ as the Nazi AltSkinner is standing there.

ACT TWO
FBI HEADQUARTERS
WASHINGTON D.C.

Scully is sitting at her own desk! (although, it’s in a big office with a lot of people.) The Lone Gunmen come over to her and tell her that Mulder’s in trouble. They saw The E.S.S. Queen Ann, the British Luxury Liner, in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, on a satellite, and it had ‘vanished without a trace’ (we know that doesn’t happen!) over sixty years ago. One story was that it had been torpedoed by a German U-boat. Mulder went to look for it. They tracked him and the ship on the satellite until there was a storm and both disappeared again. They need her help to get alternate tracking data, she’ll need someone at the Pentagon to help her. She tells them to wait for her.

The first person she goes to see is Skinner. He tells her he can’t help her, that he’s not her direct superior anymore. He doesn’t even want to know anything about it. Scully shuts and blockades the door with her arm. Skinner tells her she’s out of line, and she replies that he’s out of line. She tells him that she has nowhere else to go, and that after everything that has happened he should have the courtesy, decency, and respect to at least listen to what she has to say. All she needs is some information, nothing else. Skinner takes the paper. Scully tells him if he knows anyone at the Office of Naval Intelligence that it would be a great help. He argues that he could lose his job and pension, and that they could take legal action on him.

SKINNER: Use your head, Scully. It’ll save your ass.
SCULLY: Save your own ass, Sir. You’ll save your head along with it.

Scully storms out and goes into the elevator and to Kersh’s office. She tells him she needs his help, but that she’s not at liberty to tell him why, but that it’s of the utmost importance. She turns and sees CSM standing in the room and tells Kersh she’s sorry, she shouldn’t have come unannounced. Kersh asks to see the paper and she hands it to him but says it’s nothing. She leaves his office.

Scully tries to call Mulder on his cell phone as she gets in the elevator, but she only gets the recording of an operator who says he’s not answering his phone. Not giving up, Scully goes to Spender down in the basement.

SCULLY: I want you to do me a favor. It’s not negotiable. Either you do it or I’ll kill you, you understand?
SPENDER: You OK Agent Scully?
SCULLY: No, I’m not. I’m a gun ready to go off. So don’t test me Spender, don’t even think about trying to weasel me! SPENDER: What is it that you need?
SCULLY writes on a piece of paper.
SCULLY: Navy. Awax. S.L.A.R. 100 case west, southeast of Bermuda. I am looking for a boat, maybe a ship. 1939 luxury liner.
SPENDER: 1939?
SCULLY: Don’t ask too many questions. I don’t care what you do, or who you do, or who you have to grease! I need that information and I need it now! Are we clear on that?
SPENDER: Of course.
SCULLY: Agent Spender? If you’re not back in a hurry I am gonna hunt you down (she makes a fist) and so help me God…
SPENDER: Right.

Spender leaves.

The phone in the office rings. The man on the other end (CSM) asks if it’s Fowley he’s talking to. Scully says yes. He wants to talk to Spender; Scully tells him he’s not there. He tells her to tell Spender that Agent Scully was just up giving the paper to the Assistant Director. He suddenly asks who it is he’s talking to, so Scully hangs up.

Kersh’s secretary comes in the office. She tells Scully she was sent to come get her. Scully tells her that she was waiting for Agent Spender, and she tells her that Spender is talking to A.D. Kersh right now.

SCULLY: That Rat Bastard!

Scully goes back to the elevator and gets a call that she can barely hear. She thinks it’s Mulder. She gets out of the elevator but when she sees CSM she gets back in. When the doors open again Skinner is standing there, he was the one trying to call her.

He gets in the elevator with her. He has the information to save Mulder. Scully kisses Skinner hard! She wants to know how he got it. He tells her not even to ask, it’s obvious he is very surprised and embarrassed.

When the doors open he starts screaming at Scully as a cover to never ask him for help again or he’ll have her fired from the bureau.

Scully goes out into the parking lot and gets in a car where Frohike is and they drive off. Someone is running behind them chasing them.

ACT THREE
Back on Queen Ann Mulder is telling the men about different things that are going to happen. He tells the men how much they helped them at Pearl Harbor and how the only thanks they got was the Spice Girls.

They go to where the one man calls their ‘house.’ Mulder tells the men that the captain knew something because he wouldn’t give up the wheel. The man tells Mulder about a radio interception about Thor's Hammer. Mulder tells him that they can’t go to Germany. They’re not carrying ammunition, but rather something more deadly. Thor's Hammer is a person not a weapon, who will build a bomb and whoever has it will win the war. Another man yells at Mulder telling him he is crazy, that there are spies around. He tells Mulder to ‘trust no one.’

They go to tell everyone what is going on. The AltKersh has something chained down so they can’t steer the ship. He wants to go to Jamaica. Mulder says again that they can’t go to Germany or Jamaica; they would be hunted down no matter what course they took. The man wants to know where he wants them to go.

MULDER: The future. Actually the past.

The Nazis come down once again and take Mulder back up to the ballroom. AltCSM wants to know who the scientist on board is. He tells Mulder that if he doesn’t tell him they’ll kill someone. Mulder doesn’t know so a nazi shoots a man. AltSpender asks him if he is willing to risk anymore lives. He tells him he’s not but that he still doesn’t know who it is. The man shoots someone else.

AltScully runs out and yells for them to stop, and calls Spender a little weasel (Does anyone know if Spender has a nickname online of the weasel or something? That’s the second time she’s called him that). AltScully tells them that they are killing innocent people for nothing, that Mulder doesn’t know who it is. They go to shoot AltScully and Mulder stops them saying that he’ll tell them who it is. Mulder walks past the crowd and points at one of the dead men on the floor telling them that he is the scientist. They go to shoot Alt Scully anyway.

ACT FOUR
Scully and the Lone Gunmen see the ship they have been looking for.

Back on the ship, they check the man’s I.D. and altSpender asks what his name is.

MULDER: John Brown. Ask me again and I’ll knock you down.
ALTSPENDER: What’s his name?!
MULDER: Puddintane (spelling?). Ask me again and I’ll tell you the same.

The nazis go to shoot AltScully again and she tells them that she is the scientist. Suddenly a man steps forward yelling that she’s not, that he is and she was there to protect him. AltScully calls him a liar, saying she never met him, but they take him away anyway.

One of the Nazis yells something to them

MULDER: What did he say?
SCULLY kneels on the floor and Mulder follows.
MULDER: I think I know what he said.
SCULLY: You learn fast.

Suddenly, the crewmen come through and start beating up the Nazis. Mulder and AltScully try to escape.

The scene switches back and forth from the fight, to Scully and the Lone Gunmen in the present, and then to Mulder and the alternate Scully. They keep running and almost make it until a man steps towards them from behind and tells them to put their arms in the air.

SCULLY: Now what Einstein?

The man goes to shoot them, however someone shoots him first. The man tells them to go.

The scenes are shown on a spit screen, the left half with Mulder and AltScully, and the right with Scully looking for the Lone Gunmen. Scully runs to the left, and Mulder and AltScully run to the right. It looks as if the two Scullys pass each other. They both look back confused. Scully finds the Lone Gunmen and the go back down the hallway Scully came from.

Back in the ballroom everyone is still fighting. The screen splits again and we see Scully with the Lone Gunmen. When they come into the ballroom, no one is there, but it is a mess.

Once safely out of sight, Mulder explains to AltScully what happened and that she is the only one that can save them, that she needs to get them to turn the ship back around, or it could change history, the two of them might not ever have existed. She doesn’t believe him. Mulder tells her:

MULDER: In case I never see you again…

Mulder leans over and kisses the alternate Scully hard! They kiss for quite awhile! (Yay!!!)

When they pull apart Scully looks up dreamily, and them she punches Mulder in the face. He doesn’t mind. She rubs her hand in pain from hitting him.

MULDER: I was expecting the left.
ALTSCULLY: Hey!

Mulder jumps over the side of the boat. The screen splits between the two of them. She throws him a life preserver but he lands face down, floating in the water. As the camera pans through the water, you can hear voices coming from above.

Back in the present, Mulder is lying in a hospital bed. Scully is there beside him. He asks her what happens and she tells him he did something ‘incredibly stupid.’ She continues to explain what happened.

MULDER: You were there.
SCULLY: Hmm?
LONE GUNMEN and SKINNER walk in
MULDER: You were there, Scully
LANGLY: He’s dilerious.
MULDER: But he was there too. (This was said in reference to Skinner.)
SKINNER: Right. Me and my dog Toto.
MULDER: No. You were there with the Nazis.
SCULLY: Mulder, will you settle down? It’s an order.
SKINNER: Not that he takes orders.
MULDER: You saved the world, Scully.
SCULLY: Yeah. You’re right. I did.
FROHIKE: What kind of drugs is he on?
LANGLY:
I want some.

Scully still doesn’t believe him. She tells him that no one was on the ship, that the Queen Ann is a ghost ship.

SKINNER: Mulder, get some rest. ‘Cause when you get out of here, I’m gonna kick your butt but good.

Skinner and the Lone Gunmen walk out.

MULDER: I thought I'd never see you again, but you believed me.
SCULLY leans over MULDER
SCULLY: In your dreams. Mulder, I want you to close your eyes. I want you to think to yourself, "There’s no place like home."

Mulder laughs. Scully goes to leave when Mulder calls her back

MULDER: Scully?
SCULLY walks back over to MULDER and leans over him again
SCULLY: Yes?
MULDER: (after a pause) I love you.
another pause
SCULLY:
Oh brother.

Scully walks out of the room, but you can tell she was affected by what Mulder said.

Mulder smiles and rubs his face where the alternate Scully hit him.

Did Mulder really go to the Bermuda Triangle, or was it just a dream? Personally I think he did, but that is up to you to decide.

Based on the Redux II scale (1-10, as Redux II being a 10)
Overall Rating : 11
Shippy Rating: 11

This episode is now my favorite. It was shippier than any episode, or even the movie. The plot was really great too:)
